Going to college!

Just wanted to say I got admitted to Chapman University for their theatre program! It’s pretty selective so I feel really honored!

If anyone has any questions about my audition experience, feel free to ask!

If anyone has anything to share with me, like other acceptances or show stories, feel free to message me!

Keep submitting thespians! I don’t get a lot and I know it’s musical season right now!!

Anonymous asked: you don't even have to post this but i just need to vent omfg i'm in bells are ringing rn at my school & tonight our director went beSERK because 5 rehearsals til opening and guhhh and then she sent us home after telling us (in a terrifying, overly/forced-calm voice) that we would go over notes & 'start fresh' tomorrow. because, apparently, if she tried to go over notes tonight, she would end up screaming at us. made us all feel really good.

Kay you’re not alone! Being that close to opening is hard, and with all the new elements like tech and costumes it’s a lot to deal with! My director is really laid back, so we know when she gets mad she’s really serious. And sometimes we are all afraid it won’t all come together. Like, in smile, we have really hard 30 second costumes changes, and everything kept messing up, like the night before opening, so we were all scared! But you know what, it all came together! It really always does. It always gets fixed and figured out, no matter how frustrated we may feel right after rehearsal. Sorry this was long lol, hang in there!

Me winning the pageant in “smile” and Sandra-Kay. I love how fun this part is! Anyone message me or submit stories from your own spring plays!

flamingo-feathers asked: I'm currently in Smile the Musical too! What part are you? I'm Robin Gibson haha it's so fun! :)

Sorry I’m a bit late… I’m Sandra Kay!! Ill post a pic of me winning in a bit lol. It’s so fun to do!
I love robins part! She’s so conflicted and so sweet.

Anonymous asked: Just thought I'd share a slightly inspiring story! My freshman year of high school, I wasn't able to audition for the fall play, and I didn't get a part in the spring musical. I stayed in the company, worked on crews, and kept auditioning for things, even though I was convinced I would never have a part. I didn't have any connections and I didn't know the right people. Fast forward two years, though, and I have the lead in the musical! Don't give up, guys. Never stop auditioning or having fun!

Aww congratulations!!!!!! I’m so happy for you!

Me doing ventriloquism!

Have to learn how to do ventriloquism for the new show.. Anyone got any good stories or pictures? SUBMIT!

Anonymous asked: There had been so much back-talking and elitist thoughts going around in our thespian gang last year that a rumor started that one of the seniors was quitting theatre. It actually wasn't true at all. The fact that the rumor mill rose to that level really made me feel sad.

Ahh I bet the person it was about was so annoyed/upset.

To all my followers, (special love tithe new ones out there) tell me a story of a moment in your theatre career where you have been the most sad. If enough of you share I will too!
